Dear colleagues on board,
Unfortunately, it occasionally happens that pilots, surveyors, etc. complain that the pilot ladders used on board do not comply with the regulations regarding safe boarding.
Pilots often pass on such complaints to the port authorities and then a PSC inspection may occur.
The classification society Lloyd's Register has published a short video on YouTube which clearly shows how pilot ladders should be used properly.
