Dear colleagues on board,
As you all know, ISM is the safety-relevant basis of every ship operation.
Everyone knows it and everyone can easily implement it.
That's the theory.
But what does it look like in practice?
Unfortunately completely different. That's why ISM-relevant NCs, PSC deficiencies and detentions occur again and again.
And then I always have to think of something new about how I can motivate you so that each of you works with our ISM as it should be.
This time there were detentions again on two Spanaco ships. And guess what the reason was?
Correct! Faulty ISM handling on board.
As one of many preventative measure, we designed a cabin poster for each officer (captain, officer and engineer).
Please print out these posters and place them in your cabin and, if you would like, on the bridge or in the engine control room.
So you will be frequently reminded what you have to do regarding ISM every day.
Please downlad your cabin poster under:
:( IMHO The problem with Spanaco's ships is that not much of crew members planing to come back on tham. As result negligence relation to this ships, but I can be wrong.
