Dear colleagues on board,
In the previously posted article "MV Spanaco Reliability collided with the pier and another ship..." we have already reported that a PSC and class inspection is taking place and that we will also be conducting an internal investigation into the circumstances on board.
We don't want to withhold the results of the inspections from you and show all colleagues what incredible conditions individual people (I don't want to use the word sailor here) can cause.
13 PSC deficiencies and 9 Class Conditions. It is only thanks to a miracle that the ship was not detained.
You can imagine how much work it took to get the ship ready for work again.
Each of you knows that if something breaks on board or needs to be serviced, HLB will deliver as quickly as possible and support you with Shore Service if necessary. And every HLB ship is equipped with enough cash so that the crew can buy necessary tools and repair materials in every port.
But all of this is useless if the sailor on board does not take advantage of these opportunities.
We now ask ourselves every day why there are always people on board who don't give a shit what their workplace looks like. And it's not just your workplace, it's also your home for a few months.
The ship's command was immediately replaced on this ship, but there has to be a solution somehow that makes life and, above all, work easier for all of us.
Do you have any ideas about how we can prevent such problems on board in the future?
Let us know your comment.
Okay, of course the maritime world looks completely different on most HLB ships. Here we have highly motivated sailors who are proud of their ship and who work with us in the office to form a very successful team. And that’s fun again!
So dear colleagues, let us please work together to ensure that there are no more gallerys of shame anymore.
Thanks!
